October in the New Forest

I’ve just had a lovely long weekend walking in the New Forest but I would recommend it at any time of the year – miles and miles of paths in open country and forest to explore with roaming ponies, cows, donkeys and even pigs. Who could resist the lure of exploring places on the OS map called Broomy Bottom, Marrowbones Hill and Eyeworth Wood?
