June Walk

We had 15 walkers in June on a walk that was just over 3 miles. My aim this year for the monthly walks is to walk all the 49 PRoWs in the parish of Nonington. We are now up to 35. On one of the Footpaths that we walked which goes from Holt Street into Fredville Park, we passed 3 huge badger excavations.

March Walk

We had 26 walkers and one dog this month on our nearly 5 mile walk from Nonington to Frogham  and Barfrestone. Then across the fields to the edge of Shepherdswell. On the return journey, walkers were shedding  jackets as the sun came out and we were feeling the spring get warmth.

MARCH WALK

16 people and 1 dog enjoyed a walk today up Butchers Lane and then passing Mill Top to take the footpath to Kittington Cottages. The violets along the way are particularly good this year . Up Kelk Hill we stopped to admire the swathe of primroses. before continuing to Cherry Garden Lane and then the footpath to complete our circular walk.

There were 28 walkers and one dog on our first monthly walk of 2017. With a bright blue sky and winter sunshine we enjoyed a walk through Fredville Park , Frogham and Lower Soles Wood and then back through Barfrestone, using the permissive path to complete the circular walk of 4 miles.

October Walk

Just five people and one dog joined us on the monthly walk. We walked up Butchers Lane and along Cold Blow then down Cherry Garden Lane to pick up the footpath which goes around the back of the BruderHof farm and then across Beauchamps field to see the 2 newly born calves – 3 and half miles in beautiful weather

June Walk

It certainly wasn’t  June weather for our monthly walk. We covered 4.6 miles from Staple to Goodnestone  and back, walking on footpaths, bridleways and lanes with some beautiful views and stunning daisy and buttercup filled meadows
